It's a big day for the smoking section

It's here. The first day of truly vile weather since the smoking ban came in. This is the day to test the resolve of all those people who've been gathering outside pubs and cafes to do their puffery. What's their fall-back plan?

  1. We shall just carry on as before. The rain was shocking all the way through July and most of August, and we coped then as we'll carry on coping. You do what you have to do.

  5. I don't get how smokers are still allowed time off for puff breaks during office hours, yet two council workers suffering from an "internet addiction" were sacked last week for clocking up a total of 2 hours a day on Ebay.

I for one am very worried about the increased risk to health posed by the smoking ban.

How many innocent smokers will have to die of pneumonia before the government makes smoking legal again?

I'm waiting for the first serious assault caused by the smoking ban. Many bars have lots of shifty looking blokes stood outside taking in the smoke. How long is it gonna be before some innocent passerby is asked - are you staring at my ciggies, did you call my cough a puff?

I hadn't noticed your blog before Andrew Collins recommended it. Brilliant stuff. I will link forthwith and am glad I have all your articles to rifle through on this dull, dull day.
