A bit of a do

If you need reminding what was lost when photo-journalism disappeared, have a look at these remarkable pictures that Life Magazine took around the Harlem funeral of Bill "Bo Jangles" Robinson in 1949.

  1. At the time of writing, the link to the remarkable pictures isn't working. Just goes to an empty Google Images page.

  2. I realise that these are in a way digital, but they originated on film, they were somehow physical; real at some point. I can't help feeling we're losing something to technology, as well as to budget cuts.

  3. Respect due to the man who can be buried in a trifle

  4. That last post made me spray coffee all over my desk. I hope you're proud Gunner (left it a bit late last night eh?)
