From my flat today I watched some children finish off a superb snowman in the middle of the local park. Inevitably, less than a minute after they'd left, another group of children came along and violently kicked it to death.
Almost a symbol for the madness of modern personal grooming - when we made one of these at school (in the 80s), twigs were added around the base for extra hirsute embellishment
