ANC

It's nice to be able to say that you can learn something from a near-tragedy such as the Heathrow crash landing.
Apparently the standard operating procedure for BA pilots in a crisis goes in this order:
1. Aviate
2. Navigate
3. Communicate

2 comments:

  1. For the passengers it was:

    1. Consternate
    2. Jubilate
    3. Evacuate

(or 'Depopulate' if you prefer a snappy, inappropriate acronym)

It was a fine effort though. Imagining the plane putting itself offline at any other time during the flight doesn't hardly bear thinking about.

How long do you think they spent trying to come up with a synonym for "navigate" that began with the letter B?
