A site better

The new Word Magazine site is unveiled today. It's a lot airier and more flexible and you can post your own topics. Please go and have a look.

  2. Really, really nice. That scrolling window with the blog in it was making me go slowly stark raving mad. Vast improvement, model for a music community site. Wish I'd built it.

What has been the reaction to the new site? I have to say that design-wise I think it's a bit of a mess.

If you look at the blog section, you have each thread separated by a thin black line, then the thread title followed by a thick black line (should be the other way around, surely?).

Then, if you look at an actual thread, it looks weird to allow each contributor to give a title to his own contribution. Makes it look like a new thread.

Also, would it be possible to separate threads started by readers from those started by the magazine's own writers? I know Word's readers are a pretty smart bunch but I have no desire to read threads started by them, whereas I am interested in contributions by the likes of Andrew Harrison or Rob Fitzpatrick.
