Saw the Belfast show on the Finn Brothers last tour and for the first time ever at a Finn/Crowded House show found myself talking to my wife in the encore. But then Nick Seymour made a surprise guest appearance (he only lives down the road in Dublin) and suddenly everything was transformed. His creative basslines really add something to Neil's songs. I think it's great news they are using the Crowded House name - my only hope the new album isn't as over compressed as the Finn Brothers' last one. Can't wait to hear Not the Girl You Think You Are live - and older songs like I Feel Possessed and - and yes - Hole in the River.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38548109.post-1169758972254017582007-01-25T21:02:00.000+00:002007-01-25T21:02:00.000+00:00Something of a prophet, Mr H. Not long after your article about - and I'm paraphrasing - the inevitability of the reunion, and less than a month into 2007, we have the following lined up: Crowded House, James, Rage Against The Machine, The Jesus And Mary Chain, OMD, and The Police. I haven't bothered researching this - those are just the acts which have crossed my radar. There may be more.legal_manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15055350745732758526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38548109.post-1169718367652475122007-01-25T09:46:00.000+00:002007-01-25T09:46:00.000+00:00I second that emotion, David. I'm looking forward to hearing his solo material played by Nick and Mark.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38548109.post-1169659573743895742007-01-24T17:26:00.000+00:002007-01-24T17:26:00.000+00:00I'm pleased, but not because I wish to relive the ...I'm pleased, but not because I wish to relive the past.David Hepworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03541581777824775884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38548109.post-1169658955000009922007-01-24T17:15:00.000+00:002007-01-24T17:15:00.000+00:00So David, you're delighted Neil has decided to get...So David, you're delighted Neil has decided to get together with Nick under the name of Crowded House but you don't welcome the news...

I'm a tad confused about whether you're actually happy about this or not.

To be fair, I'm not sure whether I'm happy about the way this reunion has been conducted so far. If they got back to record the album together, great.

If it's Neil's solo album they've badged up as the next Crowded House album, I'm VERY disappointed.
